Recipes for Radiant Skin (30 day slay)

I have been on a rollercoaster of a journey with my skin and I am sure lots of you can relate. A little disclaimer...I am no expert. I am purely coming from a place of experience After much trial and error, I have found what works for me and makes me glow inside and out.

 

I have learned that what I consume has a massive effect on my skin.

 

Throughout my journey, I have learned that what I consume has a massive effect on my skin. This isn’t always the case for everyone... but it definitely is for me! My breakout trigger foods seem to be sugars, refined carbohydrates and dairy. I try to keep away from these food groups and find alternatives whenever possible. Although, now and again, I do have to feed the soul... so I may have a cheeky chunky chocolate bar! But I now understand how my skin will react, and how to combat the affects of this kind of indulgence. 


While there are foods that make my skin break out, I have also found that what I eat can have a positive affect. Certain foods leave me both satisfied and radiant.

The recipes below are meals that my skin loves. 

 

  

Date, Cinnamon & Peanut Butter Overnight Oats: 

  • 1 cup of oats 
  • 1/2 cup of oat milk 
  • 1/2 cup of water 
  • 6 chopped dates 
  • 1 tbsp of cinnamon 
  • 1 tbsp of natural peanut butter
  • mix all ingredients and pop in the fridge overnight! 

  

Chunky Chickpea Salad and Honey Mustard Dressing: 

  • 1 cup of canned chickpeas drained 
  • 1/2 a cucumber chopped 
  • 1 tomato chopped 
  • 1 pear chopped
  • 3 celery sticks chopped 
  • a handful of parsley & mint 
  • mix all ingredients and then add the dressing below and enjoy! 

 

Dressing: 

  • 1 1/2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 1/2 tbsp honey
  • 1 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Black pepper
